What is ThinkBIG:
•An organization created in 2012 to help local pediatric cancer patients and their families with the financial burdens associated with their cancer diagnosis
•Many families have to spend a significant amount of time in the hospital or traveling to and from appointments
–Because of this, it’s not uncommon for a parent/caregiver to take a leave of absence from work
–This loss of income quickly adds financial burdens to the family, and this is what ThinkBIG is trying to alleviate
•Since 2014, ThinkBIG has allocated more than $175,000 worth of support to more than 65 unique families.

Where does the Money go:
•All donations go directly to helping the families
•ThinkBIG does not….
–Allocate money to pediatric cancer research
–Pay the salaries of physicians, social workers, child life specialists, etc.
–Pay for renovations/upgrades to the local children’s hospital
–Pay any of its board members or volunteers
